LARGE ORDER TRUCK DELIVERY
The average flooring project is around 400 sqft. That average project equates to shipping around 20 boxes of flooring. Large flooring orders will be shrink wrapped on a wooden pallet and shipped via truck to your local hub then to your home location. This type of shipping is commonly referred to as LTL, or less than truckload. If you are shipping our product to an address classified as commercial there will be an option for a lift gate or dock delivery. A lift gate is a hydraulic lift at the back of a truck that allows the driver to lower a pallet to the ground. If the address you are shipping to is classified as residential then a lift gate will always be required. The trucking company will contact you to provide a delivery date and time window. You or someone 18 years of age or older is required to be present to sign for the delivery.
Important FAQs About LTL Delivery

Gated Communities
If you live in a gated community, you are responsible for arranging for access for the delivery company including any related fees charged by the owners/managers of your community.

Don't Forget to Inspect Your Delivery!
You are responsible for inspecting your order at the time of delivery. If there is any indication of shipping damage, please contact our customer care team immediately so we can work with the shipper to address the issue. Shipping damage claims are time sensitive so it's important to note the issue and begin the process as soon as possible.

Delivery is At The Curb Only
Curbside delivery is at the curb. The driver is under no obligation to move the product beyond a safe location at the curb.
Verify Quantity
Count boxes on each pallet and confirm they match the packing slip.
Inspect for Damages
Walk around pallets to check for damaged boxes. Photograph any issues and note them on the delivery receipt. If pallets were double- stacked, record that too.
Document Damages
Make sure all visible damage is noted by the carrier and signed on the receipt. For severe damage, you may refuse the shipment. Take a photo of the signed receipt.
Report Issues
Email photos of damage (especially exposed planks & severe damage) to Service@allureflooring.com with your order number and details.
YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE YOUR SHIPMENT
If your shipment or pallet arrives severely damaged, you can refuse it with your carrier and request they take it back to us.
